…More/less the whole girl’s chest was felt with A4 size #picture and #million details. I just wanna remind you, it was 2013 and we use only coils #tattoo guns in our work. But my client and I set the goal to finish all in one day. Pretty long day was coming. Doors were opening, people were coming during the whole day. Some of them left counter in my can, but I didn’t see what’s going around me at that time. We worked very hard. As usual I didn’t take a lot of breaks and only changed one small #needle to another one. She handled pain perfectly, during the whole session I heard no words and we stoped only when I need. But in the end I understood that 7h were not enough for me to finish, and on a contest she showed up with unfinished tattoo. 2h more and I could #show the whole design but not this time. 6 years ago I didn’t know that I can tattoo someone few days in a row and we finished tattoo 3 weeks later in the studio.

But ok, next day I had another client with little bit smaller piece but full color. Of course I prepared everything 
before, found the design and last #night drew the stencil. Next day I was totally ready to fight. The design, stencil, client, all were prepared and work place was ready as well. We started. The whole calf was #next to me, some artists came and didn’t believe that I can do it in #one day. They asked different questions, but I tried not to talk a lot. I was totally concentrated on work. At first, the tattoo was #full of different colors, pretty hard for the experience which I had. At second, this day I decided and told to myself, I have to finish tattoo till the contest.

The convention was still going, different guys came to us and keep #eye on my work. I saw, sometimes they left counters in my can. When one left us, in few minutes next one came and was watching the process. Counter by counter, line by line and 30mins before the #contest we finished, after cleaning and washing the work place we showed up on the stage.

2nd part
Like an #artist who takes different and only the best colors and place them on a palette, organizers did the same. They decided to open the doors for #everyone who won #1st places during last years in Kiev. They wanted to show every visitor and everyone from tattoo industry who is #thebest in Ukraine. If you have 1st place award from “Tattoo Collection” in your collection – Welcome! And last year they gave me this chance.

Just to collect all winners in nice location looked boring, so organizers did #challenge between artists. They kept classic tattoo contest as “Best of the day” but also they added a new one. Cans with small hole on the top were placed next to the #artist with name on it. Every visitor who bought a #ticket also got one counter and could vote for the best artist. Also if you had few favorite artist, you could buy few more counters and give your #voice to few different ones. You can buy as much as you want. Winner of spectator vote gets award and TV screen 39’ as a main present. But we will talk about that later.

1st day. My friend from Kharkiv and I came there. As young artist from other city I knew no one in our tattoo culture, and more/less every #tattooartist was pretty older than me. I felt very uncomfortable and was pretty #shy person. Come to acquainted tattoo artist who knew everyone and say “Hi” sounded unreal at that time. Hm! Now the same. But ok, I couldn’t stop and came there to #show what I can do. We finished with work place. Put the stencil on my friend’s chest and began to work. We #decided to do a large design, black’n’grey skull with a lot of ornaments in #Baroque style which directed to left and right shoulder. Hi my friends :) How are you doing?
Last #weekend we had such a great tattoo #convention where I live, in Wroclaw. I came as a visitor, didn’t work there but was very #happy to meet a lot of young #tattoo artists whose skill is very high and also to see my tattoo artists friends. This year, the organizers changed location and a lot of people said that work is very comfortable there. Very light and spacious place. 
But let’s go back to my trips as young tattoo artist, to February 2013.
That year we had next very important tattoo event in my and Ukrainian tattoo life as well. Organizers of main tattoo #show in Ukraine, “Tattoo Collection” created totally #new idea. New way and motivation for young artist to develop their skill and never stop. Maybe someone will say that there is nothing special, but based on my experience in 2013 and that time as well, I’ve never heard something like that.

2 weeks ago, in the story about my #first #experience at “Tattoo Collection 2012” I didn’t tell you that we were very happy in the end of the event because we won 2 awards in 2 different contests, 1st place in “the best Cover Up” and 3rd in “Small tattoo”. To get prizes in the main tattoo event in my country and in my first #expirience meant a lot for me. It pushed me ahead and showed that I’m moving in the right direction. Also those #awards gave me a chance to take a part in the next show.

Half year later organizers decided that they need something new, to create something #special and show winners from last years of tattoo convention in special way. You can be the #best from all who take a part in the contest of this or last year, but they #wanted to show who is the best of the best. The general idea was to pit us against each other. They announced new tattoo convention and called it as “Palitra” (palette – eng.)… Like an artist who takes different and only the best #colors and place them in a palette, organizers did the same…
